Rusty Robotic Minion!

Hi!

Just a quick update to show some pics of my newest commission, a custom Red Robotic Minion!

Minion!

Standing almost six inches tall and a striking red colour, he's inspired by some of my earlier Rusty Robots pieces but scaled up a bit. I went to town with adding all manner of scuffs, scratches and grime to give him a rather worn finish but he was worth the effort!

As always, I am more than happy to take on commissions so feel free to get in touch if you fancy a robotic minion of your own!

All the best!

  1. Hi, love your rusty robots and fancy trying a bit of polymer clay work myself. Please can I ask what glue do you use to fix the clay and greenstuff/plastic parts together? Thanks, Dan

  2. Hi!

Glad you like the robots! I tend to use superglue to fasten the polymer together with plastic. The greenstuff is sticky enough to adhere to pretty much anything by itself but I would recommend pinning the pieces together.

Simply drill into the sculpey or fimo with a hand drill and glue in a bit of wire (I use florists wire for small parts such as fingers and aluminium for larger joints like arms)

    Hope that helps!
