Daily Deviation! The Goblin Freelancer

Hi!

I somewhat unexpectedly got a second Daily Deviation over on DEVIANT ART, this time of the Goblin Freelancer:

Goblin Freelancer

Originally sculpted with an aim to secure my place on a business start up course while at university, the little fellow is currently on display at the University of Worcester along with a few other maquettes, including Hercules and the Space Cow!

All the best!

Tiny Goblin Freelancer

Sculpted at the same time as my Goblin Freelancer, I made this little chap as a concept piece to go along with him:

Tiny Goblin Freelancer

Made from some old Sculpey I had kicking around and a piece of plastic sheet, the little chap stands roughly 50mm tall. I was surprised by how nice the Sculpey was to carve once it had been cooked. Further experimentation revealed that only the darker colours are suited to carving as the lighter ones have a tendancy to flake...

Heres a picture of the two together:

Large and Small

All the best!

Goblin Freelancer

Hi!

I have started this blog to cover all sorts of models, designs, maquettes and puppets that I create.

To get the ball rolling heres a couple of pictures of a Goblin Freelancer maquette I made for university.

Created as both an experiment to see what I could do and as a visual aid to aid with my interview for business funding, the Goblin Freelancer is made from Sculpey, wire and plastic sheet.

I will be uploading quite a bit over the coming weeks so please feel free to have a peruse!

All the best!
